When Available:

Guinea Fowl, Ducks and Geese are not like chickens they do not lay eggs all year round. They only lay a limmited number of eggs usually in the spring or summer. We do not "force" ours to lay .  There fore we are sold out for the rest of this year. 

 Hatchery' choice mixed breeds :

Many of our flocks are free range. This means that the different varities can and will cross breed. The result is a mixed breed. When you order a hatchery's choice mixed breed it could be a mix of any of the breeds that we carry. We just do not really know which breeds have mixed. Guinea Fowl will not breed with say Duck and Geese. Therefore when you order a hatchery's choice mixed breed Guinea it will deffentley be a Guinea but we have no idea what varitey ( or color) it will turn out to be. The same holds true for the ducks and geese. We hope this clears up some of the confusion in ordering Hatchery's choice mixed breeds.

Straight Run :

As with all of our poultry we do not sex them, so all of our poultry is sold "straight run". This means that we do not have any idea if a chick is a male or a female. You have about a 50 -50 chance of getting a male or a female. We do not sex our chicks and will not, this also helps keep the prices down. To sex a chick is a very delicate thing, if done wrong the chick could be injured, it is also very time consuming, and most hatcheries that do sex chicks charge an extra cost. We choose not to put the chicks thru this process. We sell all of our chicks straight run.
